Custom Engineering Plastic Sheet Supply
ABS Plastic Sheet
ABS plastic sheet is a rigid thermoplastic sheet made from acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. It combines impact toughness, stiffness, dimensional stability and an attractive surface that can be formed, machined, painted or printed. These characteristics make ABS a practical material for housings, covers, panels, trays, displays and interior components.
Guangzhou Huayun Manufacturing can review full sheets, cut-to-size panels, thermoformed components and CNC-machined parts from a drawing, sample or finished-part requirement. Sheet width and length can be customized to the order requirement. Please confirm the ABS grade, thickness, required width and length, color, surface texture, quantity, tolerance, forming depth, operating temperature and packing before quotation.
- ✓Thickness reference: 0.8–10 mm. Width and length can be customized; 2600 × 4500 mm is retained as a large-format production reference.
- ✓Black, white and selected custom colors can be reviewed according to sample and quantity.
- ✓Smooth, low-gloss and textured surface directions are available for different appearance requirements.
- ✓Vacuum forming, thermoforming, CNC machining, drilling, trimming, printing and painting can be discussed.
What Is ABS Plastic Sheet?
ABS is the abbreviation for acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, a thermoplastic known for its balance of toughness, rigidity and processability.
Acrylonitrile contributes chemical stability and heat performance, butadiene improves toughness and impact resistance, and styrene supports rigidity, surface appearance and practical processing. The combined material can be extruded into flat sheet and subsequently formed or machined into detailed components.
ABS is often selected when a part needs a clean appearance, good impact strength and more forming freedom than a brittle rigid sheet. Performance still varies by formulation. Standard, weatherable, flame-retardant, antistatic and capped grades should be treated as separate specifications and approved for the actual use.

ABS Plastic Sheet Custom Service
ABS sheet selection should begin with the finished part. Forming depth, draw ratio, corner radius, wall-thickness distribution, impact requirement, surface appearance and operating temperature can all affect the grade and starting thickness.
Sheet width and length can be made to the required order dimensions. For cut or machined components, send a drawing showing finished size, cutting allowance, holes, slots, edge details and tolerances. For vacuum-formed parts, include the finished-part drawing, mold information, trim line, surface side, texture direction and expected quantity. Large-format dimensions should be confirmed together with grade, thickness, handling and shipping requirements.
Outdoor exposure, controlled flame classification, electrical behavior, medical use and chemical contact are grade-specific. State the required standard and document before quotation. General ABS characteristics should not be used as approval for a regulated or safety-critical part.

ABS Plastic Sheet Buyer and Technical FAQs
Practical questions to review before material selection, forming, machining and repeat supply.
What is ABS plastic sheet made from?
ABS is made from acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. Their combined structure gives the sheet a useful balance of chemical stability, impact toughness, rigidity, surface quality and processability.
Can the ABS sheet width and length be customized?
Yes. Sheet width and length can be customized to the order requirement. Thicknesses of 0.8–10 mm are shown in the production reference, while 2600 × 4500 mm is retained only as a large-format reference. Final dimensions are confirmed against grade, thickness, color, surface, tolerance, cutting allowance, quantity, handling and shipping conditions.
Can ABS sheet be vacuum formed or thermoformed?
Yes. ABS is widely used for vacuum forming and thermoforming. The starting thickness, mold geometry, draw depth, corner radius, texture side and trim line should be reviewed together because forming changes wall-thickness distribution.
Can ABS sheet be CNC machined, printed or painted?
ABS sheet can be cut, routed, drilled, trimmed and deburred. Suitable grades can also be printed or painted after the required surface preparation. Finish adhesion should be tested on the ordered sheet.
What temperature range is suitable for ABS sheet?
A practical general reference is approximately −20°C to 80°C, but the actual limit depends on grade, duration, load, support and environment. Request grade-specific data for temperature-critical parts.
Is ABS resistant to chemicals and solvents?
ABS generally resists many diluted acids and alkalis, hydrocarbons, oils and fats. It can be attacked by acetone, esters, ketones, chloroform and certain chlorinated solvents. Compatibility should be confirmed under the actual concentration and temperature.
Which ABS colors and surface textures are available?
Black and white are common directions. Custom colors, smooth surfaces, gloss, low-gloss and textured finishes can be reviewed according to sample, production method and minimum quantity.
Is standard ABS sheet suitable for outdoor use or flame-controlled parts?
Do not assume that standard ABS meets outdoor or flame requirements. Weatherable caps, ultraviolet-stabilized directions and flame-retardant grades are separate specifications. State the required exposure and test standard before quotation.
How should ABS sheet quality be checked?
Check the approved grade, thickness, dimensions, color, gloss, texture, flatness and visible surface. Formed parts should also be checked for wall-thickness distribution, warping, trim accuracy, hole positions and assembly fit.
What should we send for an accurate quotation?
Please send the required ABS grade, thickness, custom width and length, color, surface, quantity, application, operating conditions and processing requirements. Include a drawing, sample or clear photographs for formed or machined parts.
